Addicted to CAS - Delicate

What a great tennis day...won my match...yeah!  All do to the great practice from the husband. Thanks husband...wish me luck for my next match on Sunday!!

Time for another challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  The theme for this week is Delicate.  So many great options here, it was a bit hard to narrow it down.  But in the end, I opted to use a die that hasn't seen much use, but is perfect for this challenge.

I started by die cutting the flower image then coloring it with my copic markers.  I then cut the background squares and did a quick little inlaid technique.  I then adhered the die to the background, popped up the squares on foam tape and added the sentiment.

I really like this delicate die and like how the card turned out.

Come on over and join the challenge.  We would love to see what you come up with!

Supplies:

  • Off white cardstock
  • Sentiment:  Mama Elephant
  • Stitched Square Dies:  Lawn Fawn

ATCAS Challenge #81 - Bloom

I'm getting ready to head off to another tennis match.  The season has started and the rain has stopped for the moment so today's match should be a go...wish me luck!

We also have a challenge over at Addicted to CAS. Come over and join in!  Our host for this challenge is Bhavana and we have a wonderful sponsor Eureka Stamps!  Come on over and see what the team has come up with and play along!

Here's what I came up with...

I decided to make a card with all dies and no stamping!

I started off my die cutting the leaves with a light green card stock.  I then used distressed ink to provide some shading.  I then decided to cut the same leaves with vellum to provide a bit of depth.  I then die cut the flowers in a variety of pink/red colors. I added a bit of distressed ink to the flowers as well.

I die cut the sentiment and adhered that to the bottom of the card...then added a few sequins to the middle of each flower.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
