Less is More - Sticky Label

Went for a long hike with my friend Maria today!  It was great catching up with her and the best way to do that is with a little exercise, then we had a yummy lunch!

Next week, I'm going to be hitting the ball again, so looking forward to a bit of court time with the husband, but until then more time to create!

We have another challenge starting today over at Less is More!  The theme for this challenge is Sticky Label.  Feel free to be creative here....pull out any stickers you may have or even just some sticky foam tape would work!

Here's my take on the challenge, come on over and see what the team has come up with!

This is a super quick and easy holiday card.  I found some very old stickers I had from EK Success and framed it on the white cardstock that I die cut and popped it up on foam tape.

I then used the inlaid die technique to add my sentiment.  I thought it need just a bit more, so I added a few silver stars to each side of my focal image.  Note, the stars on the right are silver too, but I forgot to close my red umbrella and hence the reflection!

Here's a close up of the card, and you can see in this photo that the stars are silver!  This is a small 4 x 4 square card!

Come on over and join the challenge, we would love to see what you come up with!

Less is More - Exotic

Each day is getting a bit better.  It is now much easier to type and I can type with two hands again! More time in the gym which has been good, I'm hoping next week my hubby will take me out to the courts for some mild hitting practice :)  Please!!!!!

Time for another challenge over at Less is More.  This week the challenge theme is Exotic! Wow...wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with this one...but here's what I came up with.

I went through my stamp set and settled on this fun little bird.  I haven't used this one and was anxious to try it out!

I stamped the bird, masked him off, stamped the tree, then masked them both off.  I then created the background sky...love these clouds!

I then colored my images with Copic Markers and stamped the sentiment.

All in all, a pretty quick card!

Here's a close up of the card.

Hope you come on over a join us. We are looking forward to what you come up with!

Less is More - French

Ouch...a bit of a painful week, but the fractured shoulder and more importantly (since it a lot more painful) the road rash on the elbow is finally getting better.  As of yesterday, I'm trying to use my arm a slowly to make sure it doesn't freeze up!

We have a new challenge over at Less is More!  This week is my favorite...one-layer card, and the theme is French!  How fun is that...especially I just came back from France!

Here is what I came up with...looking forward to see what you come up with!

I have been dying to use this new stamp set.  It is so cute!

I started by stamping my little chef, then stamping the sentiment.

I colored my little chef with Copic markers, then masked him and used my distress ink to ink up the background.

Here's a close up of the card.

Come on over and join us, we would love to see what you come up with!

Less is More - Brown and Blue

Just when my husband an I were get back in the swing of things...he got a little sick and I suffered a bike accident!  Kinda ironic considering my card for this week!  So a few weeks of healing, bummer, but could have been a lot worse!!!

We have another challenge going on over at Less is More.  The theme for this week is Brown and Blue.  I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with this one, but ending up picking up a stamp set that I purchased a few months back, but haven't used yet.  Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I started by heat embossing the bicycle as it helps with the coloring of these smaller images, as the ink is easier to keep in the lines.  I colored the image with copic markers.

I then stamped the sentiment at the bottom and added the rows of dots to ground the image.

It still looked a little plain so I added a few blue sequins.

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...

Less is More - Tactile

Back from a bit of vacation and boy has it been busy.  Been hitting the tennis court and am getting back into it...was a bit rusty, but working that out.

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  The theme for this challenge is Tactile. This challenge will run for two weeks, so you have lots of time of join in on the fun.

Here's my take on the challenge...

I love these little snow peeps...they are so cute.  I started by die cutting the snow peeps from my main panel.  I then stamped and colored the images from the negative space.  Once colored with copics, I glued them onto the folding card stock.

I then took the top layer and stamped my sentiment. I then used embossing paste along with my snowflake stencil---love that embossing paste.

Lastly, I adhered the top panel to the folding card stock and the snow peeps peek out perfectly!

Here is a bit of a close up that shows the dimension of the embossing paste and the cut panel.

A fun and quick Christmas Card---in July!

Would love to see what you come up with...
