Less is More - Geometric

We recently got back from Hawaii and while we had an amazing time there visiting new places and enjoying the weather, my husband picked up a bit of a flu on the way home...so a bit of recovery time for him this week.

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  The challenge for this week is Geometric. If you are a regular follower you'll notice we have been in a bit of a roll on shapes...well let's keep it going.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Here is my take on the challenge...

This is a quick and easy one layer card.  I simply stamped the red tree and masked it.  I then stamped the other two trees and added the sentiment.  I thought it needed something a little extra so I added the grey stars....now looking at it I'm thinking I should have added some silver stars instead...oh well. I can do that next time.  This will be a very easy card to mass produce for the holidays!

Here's a close up of the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge!

Addicted to CAS - Stripes

Another challenge is starting over at Addicted to CAS!  The code word for this challenge is Stripes! Lots of options with this fun code word.  Hope to see what you come up with!

Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by heat embossing my flowers on watercolor cardstock.  I then used distress ink to add a bit of color.

I then stamped the stripes on the side and popped up the main image on foam tape.

I added a little banner with a heat embossed sentiment.

Here is a close up of the card, showing a bit of the dimension.

Tag You're It Challenge #50

We have a new challenge starting over at Tag You're It.  Come on over and play along, you have a chance to win an opportunity to be a guest designer!

Here is the fun inspiration tag designed by Kelly Szafron.  This is a terrific tag using some lovely heat embossing---which happens to be one of my favorite techniques!

Here's my take on the challenge.  For this challenge, I focused my efforts on the heat embossing!

Since I do not have any fruit tags, I focused on the heat embossing.

I started by stamping my images using Versafine Pigment ink, then dusted them with clear embossing powder.

Once completed, I using my distress inks to watercolor the flowers.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
