CAS on Sunday - Stencil

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter!  If I was organized enough, I would have created an Easter Card, but alias...my organization skills need a bit of work!

Anywho, we have another challenge over at CAS on Sunday starting today.  Our theme for this challenge is Stencil.  You must use a stencil on your design.

Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I started by grabbing one of my favorite stencils, then adding a bit of distressed ink...a little two tone yellow.  I then stamped and colored my image.

I cut it out and popped it up on some foam tape.  I thought the card needed a bit of additional color around the stencil, so I stamped some small red dots. I then added the sentiment and done!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see the dimension I used in popping up the main image on foam tape!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Rainbow

Happy Easter weekend to all to celebrate Easter.  It is a bit of a cloudy weekend, but hopefully spring will be back soon.

We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Rainbow.  Lots of options with this theme, and certainly a favorite to those of us who like lots of color. Here's my take on the theme, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Don't forget to keep your design clean and simple!

I started by stamping my images and coloring them with copic markers.  A simple coloring job, since the images are quite small.

I then added a bit of patterned paper on the bottom along with a small strip of red to tie everything together!

I think this will be perfect for my nephew who like science!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see it is a flat card, so easy for mailing.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Spring Walk

Spring has certainly sprung here...the flowers are out in full force and there have been days of rain in between. This is my favorite time of year so all is good!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More. The theme for this challenge is Spring Walk.  How fun is that!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...here's my take on the challenge...

I started by stamping this cute little guy on some card stock and coloring him with copic markers.

I then added the clouds and used the inlaid die technique after sponging them with distress ink. Then stamped the sentiment.

Here's a close up of my card.  You can see I used the inlaid die technique for the clouds.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Curve

Well it looks like spring has come and gone...it is stormy and cold outside.  Hopefully, for just a few days and then we can go back to spring!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  This week our challenge is a One-Layer card and our theme is Curve.  Initially, I was thinking of something a bit more traditional with a curve line and some florals, but then decided to go with something a little more fun.  Here's my take on the challenge...

Isn't she sassy!  I just love Edna and her curves!

Simple card, just stamped and colored with Copics.  Added a few stars to give it a bit of sparkle...also added a bit of Wink of Stella to the wings for some extra sparkle, but difficult to see in the photo!

Here's a close up of the card!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Sunday - Leaves or Trees

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It is just beautiful weather here today, so I'm off to a tennis match later today...wish me luck!

We have a new challenge starting over at CAS on Sunday.  Our theme for this challenge is Leaves or Trees.  This gave me an opportunity to use a new stamp set that I have recently received.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

This is quick and simple card.  I started by stamping my image on cardstock and coloring it with copics.  I then cut out the image added a bit of colored card stock behind it and popped it up on foam tape.

The sentiment is heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

All in all, very quick and simple!

Here's a close up of the image, you can see the dimension of the foam tape.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
