Less is More - Colors of the Flag

Another beautiful week here in sunny California!  Don't forget I have a give away right now, and if you are interested in winning a die and sequins pack check out this post to see how to enter!

We also have another challenge starting over a Less is More.  Our theme for today is using the colors of your countries flag. This was easy for me since I was in need of a thank you card and wanted to use a particular set from My Favorite Things.  Here's my take on the challenge...




This is a super simple card.  I stamped the image on some white card stock and colored it with Copic markers.  Since this is a small image it was easy and quick to color.  I then used my rectangle die and cut out the image.  I added some red paper to frame the main focal point.








Here's a close up of the card.  I decided not to pop up the image on foam tape to allow for easier mailing.

CAS on Friday - Flowers

What another beautiful summer week!  Just love this time of the year...lots of outdoor activities! Remember, I have a giveaway going on...check it out here!

We have another challenge starting over at CAS on Friday!  Our theme for this challenge is Flowers.  I'm using my favorite flower stamp set.  Here's what I came up with...


Super simple card.  I started by die cutting the inner rectangle.  Added my flowers and the sentiment.

Then used the inlaid die technique to put everything together.

Super simple!











Here's a close up of the card.  You can see that that it is flat, but the stitching around the main image adds interest to the card.

Addicted to CAS - White on White

Wow, I'm so glad the week is over...the heat is killing my ability to play tennis!  But not too bad today, so the husband and I will hit the courts in a few hours!

We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS today!  This one is a bit difficult for me...white on white!  I love color, so this was a challenge.  Here's what I came up with!



Pretty simple shaker card...but I maybe cheated a little tiny bit...some of the sequins are a very light pink!

Anywho...looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Sketch




We made it through a heat wave!  Boy was it hot...but it is getting back to normal starting today! Yeah...we are celebrating with some more tennis with the husband...my favorite opponent :)

We also have a new challenge starting over at Less is More today!  Our challenge for this week is a Sketch challenge.  Here's the sketch...and my take on it!





I started by cutting my waves from colored card stock.  I then stamped and colored my main image with Copics.  I die cut the sentiment and added it to the card.  I then added a bit of Wink of Stella to the balloon popped the main image on some foam tape and done.  Pretty quick and easy!

Less is More - Personalize It

We are bracing ourselves for a hot weekend...but still not too hot to hit some tennis balls with the husband....just a few more breaks in the shade!

We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this week is Personalize It. What a great way to recognize someone special.  Here's my take on the theme...




This is a simple card...I started by stamping my image and coloring it with copic markers.  I added my friends name in the sign.  It looked a bit too plain to me, so I cut down the image on a stitched square, then created the tone on tone background paper.  I popped up the image on some foam tape and done!

CAS on Sunday...now CAS on Friday!

We are making some changes to CAS on Sunday...well actually just one change...we are now CAS on Friday!  Thus, we have a new challenge starting today!  Hope you can join us, the theme for this challenge is Animals.  How fun is that!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a fun card to make.  I stamped my cute little images, colored them with Copics.  I then masked them and added the cloudy background.  Stamped the image on the bottom and done!
