Here is a close up of the card.  You can see the dimension created by the distressed ink highlights on the trees and stars.

Your Next Stamp - Guest Designer Spot

I'm so excited to be invited to be a guest designer for the month of October at Your Next Stamp (YNS).  YNS makes some of the most cute and whimsical stamps.  They also have beautiful ink colors, patterned papers and other embellishments.  As a visitor to my blog and/or Instagram, you may have spotted several of their stamps!

One of my go to stamps sets for the month of October is the Fang-tastic Stamp set.  I never really thought about Halloween cards until I saw this stamp set and now I make a ton and send them off to my friends! In honor of this being the month of Halloween...

I started by stamping my main image and coloring him with Copics.  I then use the die cut to cut him out and pop him up on foam tape.  I used the YNS splatter stamp on the background and added a few enamel dots.  I then heat embossed my sentiment and adhered it to the card!

Here's a close up of the image...

This little guy is so cute.  Check out this stamp set and others over at YNS!

Less is More - Watercolor

We are just getting over a little heat wave...the end of September really!  I'm thinking we might have one more before winter sets in!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More!  Our theme for this challenge is Watercolor. I've been wanting to use some Kraft cardstock lately so, here's my opportunity to do something a bit more whimsical...at least for me....

I started by stamping and die cutting my little bunny image.  I then used my Zig watercolors to color the image.  I then went crazy and splashed some white paint on the card stock.  I'm a bit of a control freak that normally I would use my splatter stamp instead of going free flowing...but gotta go a bit crazy once in awhile!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card. I love this little bunny...so sweet!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Favorite Stamp

Another beautiful week gone by...this is my favorite time of the year.  A bit cooler, but not cold and still dry!

We have another fun challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Your Favorite Stamp!  Wow, this is a tricky one, because I have so many favorites!  I did narrow it down to this one...a favorite this week :)

This is a quick and simple card.  I stamped my image and colored it with copic markers.  I used a few colored pencils to highlight some of the small spaces.  I find this sometimes a bit easier than using the copic markers for those areas of tight fit!

I then cut a small strip of colored paper and added my sentiment.

Here's a close up of the card. Isn't she sassy?  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Sketch

Finally fall has arrived.  This is my favorite time of the year and taking full advantage of the opportunity to continue to enjoy the outdoors!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have a new challenge starting over on Less is More.  Our theme for this week is a Sketch challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by die cutting the film strip on a dark grey cardstock.  I then die cut it again on white cardstock so I can color the images.  I then stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.  I then stamped my sentiment and added a little heart :)

Here's a close up of the image.  I love this little guy, he is so cute!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Dies

Can't believe it is already half way through September.  I gotta start working on some Christmas cards...but first, we have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is to use a Die on your card.  Lots of opportunity with this theme.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a take on a card that I made awhile back...that one was for Valentine's Day and this is for a friend who has been a bit under the weather.

My friend loves pink and glitter so I added a bit of sparkle to this card. The sentiment and images are from Lawn Fawn.  I used copic markers to add the color and Wink of Stella for the sparkle!

Here's a close up of the image.  As you can see I added some dimension by adding a bit of foam tape to the die cut image.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
