Addicted to CAS - Birds

I'm trying to dry out from a soggy week, but still feeling a bit damp!  Good news is that I have a lot of work to focus on so, it is keeping me from getting stir crazy!

We have a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this week is Birds.  I created this fun little card and have my bird as the most important part of the card as he is holding the cake :)

I stamped my images on this 4 x 4 panel.  I colored them with copics.

I then stamped my sentiment on this color panel and done.  Very quick and easy.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - OLC Stencil

A soggy week here...unfortunately, that means little outdoor time.  Oh well, lots to do indoors to get organized, so I guess the rain is welcome.

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is Stencil, but remember it is a one layer card challenge too.

I decided to do something a bit different this time.  I used my stencil to outline the circles, then I colored them in with my copics.

I stamped my main image and colored him with copics.

I then used some fun letters to add my sentiment and done!

Quick and simple one layer card.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Sequins

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is a celebration card with sequins.  Certainly fun!  I don't really put sequins on cards unless I'm doing a shaker card...so here goes another shaker...

This is a fun die from Simon Says Stamp.  Makes for a quick a easy shaker card.

I heat embossed my sentiment in silver embossing powder and added some light pink sequins from Lucy's.

This card is slightly smaller than an A2 card.

Super quick and fun!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Monochrome

Another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is Monochrome.  So many ways to go with this one...at first I did a one color card in just blue, but noticed that I had stamped the image black so technically it was now black, blue and white.  So I decided to just keep it simple and go with shades of grey.  Here's my take on the challenge.

Super quick card.  I stamped my images and used my cool grey copic markers and colored in the images.  I decided to keep it super clean and simple and didn't even add shading since grey flowers are not the norm...but seems fitting for a sympathy card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Luck/Lucky

It has been a hectic few weeks, but we now have some help in to keep us focused.  It has been cold and stormy out, so just perfect for making cards.

We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this challenge is Luck/Lucky.  Just perfect for the beginning of March.  Here's my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Super quick and easy card.  Since I did just do this at the last moment :)

Anywho, I colored this funny guy with my copic markers.  Added a speech bubbled and used my newest alphabet stamp set to add the sentiment.  I like this alphabet stamp set because it is whimscal and I don't have to be too picky about have the letters perfectly straight!

Looking forward to seeing your creation!

CAS on Friday - One Layer Wonder

Happy Friday!  Hope you all have a great week.

We have another challenge starting over at CAS on Friday!  Our theme for this week is One Layer Wonder.  One of my favorite techniques.  Something about just stamping or coloring is super fun...and quick!  I choose to do a bit of coloring, so here is my take on the theme.

I just love this super happy lady.  She is so cute and super happy with that cake...hope she doesn't drop it!

Super quick and easy card...just a bit of stamping and some Copic coloring.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Dry Embossing

We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More today.  Our theme for today is dry embossing.  The challenge is to do this in a bit more of a CAS manner...this can be tricky, but I know you can do it!  Though, don't do what I did...I actually made my card CAS, but used embossing paste...which is wet, even through it does dry :)  So just look at my design and image the hearts in the background as a embossed folder!!

I started my making a template with my heart die on some card stock.  I then simply used some embossing paste that dry's quickly.  I then added a bit of Distress Ink to some card stock and cut my sentiment.  I added a bit of dimension using some foam tape.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
