CAS on Friday - Halloween

Can you believe it...it is already October...another year end within grasp!

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday!  The theme for this challenge is Fall or Halloween.  And while I'm not a bit fan of Halloween, except for giving out treats to the little ones, I love making Halloween cards.  I never would have thought of sending out Halloween cards...but the images are just too cute to pass up!

Here's my take on the challenge...

For this card, I stamped my image from Stamping Bella.  I then colored it with Copics.  I then used my My Favorite Things die cut to cut out the speech bubble and heat embossed the sentiment.  All in all a pretty quick card!

Here's a close up of the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Your Next Stamp - Challenge #74

I'm excited to be a guest designer for Your Next Stamp. Today we are kicking off our newest challenge.  This is either a color or sketch challenge.  You can pick either one, or combine both. Winners have a chance to receive a gift certificate to use in the store!  How fun is that!

Here's my take on the challenge.

For this challenge, I focused on color. Of course, perfect for Halloween cards. I used one of my favorite stamp sets: Fang-tastic.  I colored this little guy with Copic Markers, then cut him out and added some foam tape to give him dimension.  I added a few strips of paper to the back to give the overall card a bit of color.

I heat embossed the sentiment and added a few enamel dots!

Here's a closeup of the card.  You can see the dimension of my little Frankinstein.

Be sure to stop by the YNS blog and check out more inspiration and enter your creation!

Less is More - Sketch

Finally fall has arrived.  This is my favorite time of the year and taking full advantage of the opportunity to continue to enjoy the outdoors!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have a new challenge starting over on Less is More.  Our theme for this week is a Sketch challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by die cutting the film strip on a dark grey cardstock.  I then die cut it again on white cardstock so I can color the images.  I then stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.  I then stamped my sentiment and added a little heart :)

Here's a close up of the image.  I love this little guy, he is so cute!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Dies

Can't believe it is already half way through September.  I gotta start working on some Christmas cards...but first, we have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is to use a Die on your card.  Lots of opportunity with this theme.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a take on a card that I made awhile back...that one was for Valentine's Day and this is for a friend who has been a bit under the weather.

My friend loves pink and glitter so I added a bit of sparkle to this card. The sentiment and images are from Lawn Fawn.  I used copic markers to add the color and Wink of Stella for the sparkle!

Here's a close up of the image.  As you can see I added some dimension by adding a bit of foam tape to the die cut image.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Take Flight

Finally the heatwaves are over and we are settling into some nice tennis playing weather!  Another week of social tennis and some fun dining with friends!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting over a Less is More!  Our challenge for this week is Take Flight.  I had several ideas for this one, but in the end, I decided to go with this card.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a fun card to make...lots of coloring which I like.  I stamped the main image and colored it with Copic Markers.  I then added the sentiment.  I felt a bit too empty so I added the skyline on the bottom. Super fun to make!

Here's a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Color Me Pretty

The heat wave is slowly receding.  I'm looking forward a bit more normal September weather!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today over at CAS on Friday.  The theme for this challenge is Color Me Pretty.  You can use markers, colored pencils or another other coloring medium you can think of.  Here's my take on the challenge.

I used this stamp from Art Impressions.  I just love this sassy lady...she is so funny!

I colored her using copic markers. Stamped my sentiment and used the inlaid die technique to add to the card for more easy mailing.

I thought it needed a bit something extra, so I added my little stars....yup, been adding those quite a bit!

Here's a close up of the card!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Perfect Holiday

It's been a busy week, but we are back to our normal schedule...a bit of tennis with the husband continues to be my weekly bonus!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More!  Our theme for this week is Perfect Holiday. Lots of opportunities here...I decided to focus on Christmas, since is is already the middle of August and I've gotta start making a few Christmas cards to avoid the year end crush!

Here's my take on the challenge...

For this card, I stated by stamping my Santa image and using the partial die cut method.  Love this technique!  I then colored my Santa with Copics.  I added a bit of snow to my grey card stock with molding paste.  Then stamped and cut out the sentiment in the form of a speech bubble.  Fun card and pretty quick too!

Here is a close up of the card...hard to see the dimension, but I did pop up the Santa on foam tape!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Friends

Can't believe that it is already the middle of August...wow, where does the time go?

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS.  Our challenge for this week is Friends.  I picked this theme as I love making cards and sending them off to friends.  Also, I'm excited to work with a variety of stamps and this theme allows me to do that.

Here's my take on the challenge...

I simply stamped the main image on card stock.  Colored it with Copics and added the sentiment.  I find the hardest part of coloring is picking my colors and once that is done, the actual coloring is pretty quick.  I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the candles as a final touch!

Here's a close up of the card.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Vehicles

Another fun week of tennis and outdoor activities.  Just love this summer weather!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is a One Layer Card and Vehicles.  I was thinking of going with cars, but then decided on a camping theme. Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by stamping and masking my images.  I then used distressed ink to add the background, then used my copics to color the main images.  In the end, pretty quick and simple.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see it has no dimension, so it will be easy to mail.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Birthday

We have a new challenge starting over at CAS on Friday!  Our theme for this week is Birthday!  Just perfect as we are moving into the busy birthday season for our family.

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

Here's my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

For my main image, I stamped this cute guy and masked him.  I then added a few balloons!  I colored him with Copic markers.  I then thought this fun sentiment from Penny Black would go nicely so I cut it out and used my distress inks to add a bit of an ombre effect!

I really wanted to add a bit of Wink of Stella, but thought as a masculine card, that might be a bit too much!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see I added a bit of foam tape to the sentiment to make it pop.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - One Layer Card

Another beautiful week! The husband is feeling better this week, so we are off to play tennis!  Nothing better than a day on the court with the husband!

I have a Giveaway going on.  If you are interested, check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  The theme for this week is One Layer Card.  My favorite!  Here's what I came up with...

I stamped this image and colored it with my Copics.  These Stamping Bella images are so fun to color and I find that everyone seems to love receiving these cards.

Just to add a bit of sparkle, I added a few stars at the end as a finishing touch.

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Exotic

It has been a beautiful week.  Not too hot, but I hear the heat wave is coming in.  I'm hoping the husband will be feeling a bit better in a little while so we can go play some tennis!  I have missed his hard hitting :)

I have a Giveaway going on.  If you are interested, check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this week is Exotic!  I wanted to do something a little different, so I looked up this word and found that is means foreign, and colorful.  And came up with this card...

I stamped and masked a few of these monsters and colored them with Copics.  I love color, so this was a super fun card to make.  The images are easy to color, so it didn't take much time at all.

Here's a close up of the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Primary Colors

Hope all our US friends are recovering from a festive Independence Day Celebration.  Nice time to hang out and relax.

My first, of many, giveaways is going on now...if you haven't entered you still have time.  More details can be found here!

Another challenge starting today over at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is Primary Colors.  Pull out your red, yellow and blue.  Here's my take for the challenge...

This was a fun card to make as it has a lot of coloring...which is my favorite!  I simply stamped this image and colored it with copic markers.  I then cut the bubble and stamped the sentiment.

It still looked a bit empty so I added a few silver stars.

All in all, pretty quick card!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
