Tag You're It Challenge #71

We are back from Hawaii!  We had an awesome time...checking out parts of the island we had missed prior.  Love the "Up Country," far less touristy and absolutely beautiful!

We have a challenge going on over a Tag You're It.  We are now holding our challenge on a monthly basis, so you have lots of time to participate.  Here's the inspiration tag from our guest artist...Lindsey.

Here is my take on the inspiration...I focused on florals with my main images red.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

This is a super easy tag.  I simply stamped my images with black ink and colored them with my Copic markers.  Because the little blue flowers are so small, I colored them with Copics then used colored pencils to add a bit of shading.

CAS on Sunday - Birthday Bear Shaker

What a great week we had!  We visited Hawaii and had a spectacular time!  Sun, beach, tennis, swimming, canoeing, and the best part ... spending time with the husband!  Yeah!

We have another challenge starting over at CAS on Sunday today.  Our theme for this challenge is Shaker Card.  How fun is that!

Here's my take on the challenge...come on over and see what the other team members have created. We are looking forward to seeing your entry!

I colored this bear awhile back and have been waiting for the perfect card to adhere it to.

Nothing more fun than a shaker card.  I made a small 4x4 card, as it fits this little guy just perfectly.  Added a few sequins and beads for the filling.  Then added the sentiment!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Yellow and Grey

It has been a busy week, but beautiful spring weather, so I have been able to enjoy all my favorite outdoor activities!

We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this week is Yellow and Grey. This is just a beautiful combination!  I really do like to see grey with so many different colors.  It really gives the project a sense of elegance!

Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by simply stamping my flowers and leaves on cardstock.  I then colored them with my copic markers in various shades of grey, no shading just simply coloring.  I then cut down my panel and framed it with the soft yellow cardstock.  I have been liking the inlaid die technique lately and choose to use it for this project as well.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see that this is a one-layer card with inlaid die!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Shadow

I'm just loving this time of the year...lots of rain this winter so our draught is over and the backyard garden is just amazing.  The husband has been slowly making his way back to the tennis court and I'm soooooo happy!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More. Our theme for this week is Shadow.  I struggled over this one...it was hard for me to come up with something a bit different. I finally took some inspiration from my garden and here is what I came up with.

I didn't want to use a bright white cardstock, so I picked a Caramel colored cardstock from Bazzill.

I used distress ink to make my background.  Then simple die cut the opening in my card base and then added the die cut flowers.  Stamped the sentiment and done!  I think this will be my Mother's Day card!

Here's a closer look at the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Tag You're It - Challenge #70

What a beautiful spring day!  Nice week to be on the courts playing both singles and doubles.  The beautiful weather is continuing so more fun to come!

We also have a challenge starting over at Tag You're It!  Here's the inspiration tag...from our guest designer Kim Heggins.  Isn't this just the cutest tag ever?

I'm sure you can come up with a bunch of great tags with this fun inspiration. Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I started by stamping my balloons on the tage and coloring them with copics. I masked the balloons and added the brick background.

I then stamped my bear on separate card stock and colored him.  I was going to pop him on on foam tape, but in the end, I just glued him on the tag.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
