Your Next Stamp - Guest Designer Spot

I'm so excited to be invited to be a guest designer for the month of October at Your Next Stamp (YNS).  YNS makes some of the most cute and whimsical stamps.  They also have beautiful ink colors, patterned papers and other embellishments.  As a visitor to my blog and/or Instagram, you may have spotted several of their stamps!

One of my go to stamps sets for the month of October is the Fang-tastic Stamp set.  I never really thought about Halloween cards until I saw this stamp set and now I make a ton and send them off to my friends! In honor of this being the month of Halloween...

I started by stamping my main image and coloring him with Copics.  I then use the die cut to cut him out and pop him up on foam tape.  I used the YNS splatter stamp on the background and added a few enamel dots.  I then heat embossed my sentiment and adhered it to the card!

Here's a close up of the image...

This little guy is so cute.  Check out this stamp set and others over at YNS!

Less is More - Watercolor

We are just getting over a little heat wave...the end of September really!  I'm thinking we might have one more before winter sets in!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More!  Our theme for this challenge is Watercolor. I've been wanting to use some Kraft cardstock lately so, here's my opportunity to do something a bit more whimsical...at least for me....

I started by stamping and die cutting my little bunny image.  I then used my Zig watercolors to color the image.  I then went crazy and splashed some white paint on the card stock.  I'm a bit of a control freak that normally I would use my splatter stamp instead of going free flowing...but gotta go a bit crazy once in awhile!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card. I love this little bunny...so sweet!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Favorite Stamp

Another beautiful week gone by...this is my favorite time of the year.  A bit cooler, but not cold and still dry!

We have another fun challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Your Favorite Stamp!  Wow, this is a tricky one, because I have so many favorites!  I did narrow it down to this one...a favorite this week :)

This is a quick and simple card.  I stamped my image and colored it with copic markers.  I used a few colored pencils to highlight some of the small spaces.  I find this sometimes a bit easier than using the copic markers for those areas of tight fit!

I then cut a small strip of colored paper and added my sentiment.

Here's a close up of the card. Isn't she sassy?  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

We have a new challenge starting over on Less is More.  Our theme for this week is a Sketch challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by die cutting the film strip on a dark grey cardstock.  I then die cut it again on white cardstock so I can color the images.  I then stamped and colored the images with Copic markers.  I then stamped my sentiment and added a little heart :)

Here's a close up of the image.  I love this little guy, he is so cute!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Dies

Can't believe it is already half way through September.  I gotta start working on some Christmas cards...but first, we have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is to use a Die on your card.  Lots of opportunity with this theme.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a take on a card that I made awhile back...that one was for Valentine's Day and this is for a friend who has been a bit under the weather.

My friend loves pink and glitter so I added a bit of sparkle to this card. The sentiment and images are from Lawn Fawn.  I used copic markers to add the color and Wink of Stella for the sparkle!

Here's a close up of the image.  As you can see I added some dimension by adding a bit of foam tape to the die cut image.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

We have another challenge starting over a Less is More!  Our challenge for this week is Take Flight.  I had several ideas for this one, but in the end, I decided to go with this card.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a fun card to make...lots of coloring which I like.  I stamped the main image and colored it with Copic Markers.  I then added the sentiment.  I felt a bit too empty so I added the skyline on the bottom. Super fun to make!

Here's a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Color Me Pretty

The heat wave is slowly receding.  I'm looking forward a bit more normal September weather!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today over at CAS on Friday.  The theme for this challenge is Color Me Pretty.  You can use markers, colored pencils or another other coloring medium you can think of.  Here's my take on the challenge.

I used this stamp from Art Impressions.  I just love this sassy lady...she is so funny!

I colored her using copic markers. Stamped my sentiment and used the inlaid die technique to add to the card for more easy mailing.

I thought it needed a bit something extra, so I added my little stars....yup, been adding those quite a bit!

Here's a close up of the card!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Apples

For all of my US friends...welcome to the long weekend. Hope everyone has some fun plans!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Apples!  What a terrific theme as the school year begins!  Not having any young ones at home anymore...here's my take on the theme.

I started by stamping my little mouse and the basket of apples.  I then colored them with Copic Markers.  I decided to add a tone on tone sentiment on some green paper.  I used the inlaid die technique to put the pieces together.  Then a final touch added the sentiment!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see it is flat for easy mailing...love that inlaid die technique!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Royal Blue & Lime Green

Getting ready for the Labor Day weekend...boy did the summer just fly by!  Well the good news, is that the summer weather will likely linger for another few weeks!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More! Our theme for this challenge is Royal Blue & Lime Green. I really love these colors together.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a quick card...I simply stamped my snow peeps and colored them with Copic Markers.  I then add some foam tape for dimension and added them to my card base.  I used a few of my rectangles to create this inlaid die technique to add the frame.  Stamped the sentiment and done!

Here's a close up of the card. You can see the dimension of the snow peeps against the flat card base!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
