Less is More - Frame

It's been a bit of a rough week, but things are smoothing out.  Hopefully, we are in the clear for a bit.

We do have a new challenge starting over at Less is More!  Our challenge theme this week is "Use a Frame". Here's my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I started off by stamping the main image on my cardstock.  I then cut the smaller rectangle. Then I colored the dog with copic markers.  Once colored, I masked off the dog and added the clouds.  I had also stamped the balloon on a scrap of cardstock and colored it with copics.  I then put the piece back together glued the balloon and added the hearts to the side.  The final touch was adding the sentiment.

I haven't decided if this will be a birthday card or just a "hello" card! I guess I won't know until I use it!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see that I used the inlaid die technique to create a frame.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Tag You're It Challenge #68

It has been a beautiful week, so I've been able to get a lot of tennis in this past week!  Yeah!

We have another challenge over at Tag You're It.  I missed the last challenge because I had the wrong date on my calendar...but I'm thrilled to be on schedule again.  And, for this challenge, we have a really cute inspiration tag from our guest designer Gayatri Murali.

So many possibilities with this one...here's my take on the challenge!

I started by stamping my main image on the tag, then coloring it with Copic markers. Once completed, I masked the image and used distress ink for my bricks!  I then stamped my sentiment and done.

Pretty quick and easy!!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Sunday - Sentiment Only

Such wonderful weather this week that I was able to spend lots of time outdoors enjoying the spring like weather.  Yeah!

We have a new challenge starting over at CAS on Sunday.  Our theme for this week is Sentiment Only!  I had one idea, but it didn't really work out as expected so I scrapped that and came up with this colorful number....looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

For this colorful card, I simply stamped the letters and added a bit of doodling to the letters.

I then used my Zig Clean Color Markers to color the letters and done!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Washi Tape

It's been a beautiful week, and I have been enjoying the nice weather on the tennis courts.  Lots of play this week and it has been super fun!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  This week our theme is Washi Tape.  This is a bit challenging for me!  While I have and love washi tape, I don't use it on my cards, I typically just use it on envelopes!

Here's my take on the challenge...looking forward to seeing the creative ways you use it!

I started by stamping my main images and coloring them with copic markers.  I then added the pearls to each flower.

I used distress ink to ink up some paper in an ombre fashion, then cut the word die from the paper.  I then popped it up on some fun foam.

The washi tape is on the left side---the bright green with white dots!

Here's a close up of the card!

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Seaside

It has been a lovely week weather wise...looking forward to the spring!  But not sure we are quite there yet!  Anyhoo, this week's theme at Addicted to CAS will get you into the spring mood...our theme is Seaside.

I had a bunch of fun ideas for this challenge, and wanted to use my newest dies, so I ended up with this one...

I started by stamping my images and coloring them with copic markers.  I then sponged my background with distressed inks.  I found that sponging works like magic on Bristol paper, so that is my go to paper for all things sponging! I then stamped some seashells on the Kraft stock with distressed ink.  I stamped them with Antique Linen which is a bit light, next time I'd use a darker shade.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see the sea shells on the Kraft card stock just a bit.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...remember there is a great prize for the winner!

Less is More - Leaves

What a beautiful day we have here today.  Spring time weather!  Yeah!

We also have another challenge starting over at Less is More!  The theme for this week is Leaves and it is a one-layer challenge.

Here's my take on the theme...

I started by stamping and heat embossing the leaves.  I then used distress inks to watercolor my image.

I added the sentiment at the end and done!  Pretty easy...and quick!

Here is a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
