Less is More - Washi Tape

It's been a beautiful week, and I have been enjoying the nice weather on the tennis courts.  Lots of play this week and it has been super fun!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  This week our theme is Washi Tape.  This is a bit challenging for me!  While I have and love washi tape, I don't use it on my cards, I typically just use it on envelopes!

Here's my take on the challenge...looking forward to seeing the creative ways you use it!

I started by stamping my main images and coloring them with copic markers.  I then added the pearls to each flower.

I used distress ink to ink up some paper in an ombre fashion, then cut the word die from the paper.  I then popped it up on some fun foam.

The washi tape is on the left side---the bright green with white dots!

Here's a close up of the card!

I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

  1. This is spring on a card, Susan! Love the fresh colours, ombre sentiment and fab polka dot washi. Your card has made me smile this morning :)

  2. Vibrant, cheery and so much fun Susan. Love your colouring always and a neat and classy use of the washi tape. Have a good week. x

  3. So perfect - fresh, pretty and bright! I adore the green and yellow colour combo and I'm going to try to remember to use it myself in future because it looks so fab. Gorgeous design too! Hope you're having a lovely weekend x

  4. Incredible blending with both the distress inks and the copics Susan. The images are fab and the colours used make this such a happy card. Love your wash tape!!!

  5. Love this fresh and pretty design ! Your coloring is just stunning ! Love the strip of washi tape on the side and the pearls at the top of the stems ! Really gorgeous card !
Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.

  6. Gorgeous card, Susan! I like your pretty flowers and colours, and how you used the washi tape. So clean and fresh.
