Less is More - Let It Shine

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.  Here in the US we have a nice long weekend!  It has been a beautiful mild weathered weekend....tomorrow a bit of rain is scheduled, but other than that it feels like spring!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More today.  Our theme for this challenge is Let it Shine...use something shiny or glittery on your card.  Lots of opportunity to for that for the holidays!  I have several birthday's this time of the year, so I'm focusing on a few birthday cards!  Here's my take on the challenge...

This has become one of my go to birthday cards.  Simple, yet packs a punch!

I cut the sentiment image from some shiny silver paper...hard to see in this photo, but super shiny!

I added a few pink and red sequins and some shiny silver squares and stars.

Super fun and quick card to make!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Sweets

Hope all my US readers had a Happy Thanksgiving.  We certainly have a ton to be thankful for...so enjoy your weekend.

We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Sweets!  Certainly a perfect theme for this time of the year!  Here's my take on the challenge. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I simply stamped this Stamping Bella image on white card stock and colored it with my copic markers.  I then decided to use this fun scallop die cut for a bit of extra interest.  I colored the scalloped portion with my copic markers in a color that matches the main image.

Here's a bit of a close up of the image.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Challenge

We had a bit of spotty rain this week.  Good thing it happened on my rest day, so I was able to get in lots of tennis and dog walking!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  The team has generously invited me to host this new challenge...so here is my inspiration.  Head on over to see what the team has created for you.  We are looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I'm finally getting into the Christmas vibe and getting my cards organized.  This is a quick and easy card...where I simply stamped my image, die cut it and colored it with copic markers.  I added a bit of foam tape for dimension and a few stars to give it a bit of sparkle.

Here's a close up of the image.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Bows

We are expecting a bit of a wet weekend...here's to the first rain of the season!

We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS. Our theme for today is Bows!  Just perfect for the Christmas season.  I have a long way to go to finish up Christmas Cards.  But finally feel like I have the time to get rolling!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a simple card.  I die cut the card base with this thin border die.  I then stamped my images and colored them with Copic makers.  I added a bit of Wink of Stella on the bright red bow.  I then stamped my sentiment. I then colored my thin border with the same red I used in the bow.  I thought it needed just a little extra, so I added a few silver stars.

Pretty quick and easy Christmas card!

Here's a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Fireworks

A bit of rain to start the weekend.  I guess it is good...we don't want to head into a drought...if only, it would rain when I'm not scheduled to play tennis :)

We have a new challenge starting today at Less is More!  Our theme for this color challenge is Fireworks.  I choose to go with red as it is always bright against a dark sky. Check out what the rest of the team came up with...lots of great ideas!  And you have two weeks to play along...we are extending the challenge and extra week!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a super simple card.  I stamped the sentiment and the fireworks.

I added a strip of black glitter paper, though difficult to see the sparkle in this photo.  I stamped some fireworks on the red border at the bottom of the card with a embossing ink to create a tone on tone look.
