CAS on Sunday - Flower

We are starting a new challenge over at CAS on Sunday!  Our theme for this challenge is Flower!  I hope you have time to swing by and join us...this is a fun one!

Here's my take on the theme...

I started my heat embossing the main image and the sentiment.  I then used distress ink to watercolor the flower.

In order to give a bit of depth, I added a very light blue around the flower.

I then added a bit of yellow card stock and popped it up on foam tape.

Pretty simple!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Celebrate

Time for another challenge over at Less is More.  This week is a special challenge, since we are on our 300th Challenge!  And, of course, our theme is Celebrations/Festivals.  I'm sure you will have a ton of ideas for this challenge!

My go to die for celebrations is one from My Favorite Things.  You can't go wrong with champagne! This card is for my sister-in-law's birthday...she loves champagne and pink, so this is a perfect combination!

This is a quick and easy shaker card, with an inlaid sentiment!  I used silver fold paper for the sentiment.

I added a few stars to the top layer of the card to add a bit of interest!

Super quick and easy and perfect for any celebration!

Here's a close up of the card!

Come on over and celebrate with us!  We would love to see what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Monster

Time for another challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  This week I'm hosting (yeah!) and I picked one of my favorite themes....monsters!  While I'm not much for Halloween, I do love the cute little stamp sets with all of the monsters and other creatures.

Hope you have a chance to play along.  We have Create a Smile as our sponsor for this week and you know they have tons of cute monsters!
I'm into 4x4 square cards at the moment and here's one with these fun monsters.

I simply stamped my images and colored them with copics.  I had to make the moon a bit bigger, so I simply drew some additional craters.

After stamping my sentiment, I thought it looks a bit empty so I added a few tiny silver stars!

Here's a close up of the card!

Hope you can join us, we would love to see what you come up with!

Less is More - Vellum/Acetate

Another fun challenge starting over at Less is More today.  This week our challenge theme is Vellum/Acetate.

For me, this theme just screams shaker card.  I haven't made a shaker card for awhile, so this is the perfect opportunity.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I used my Zig Real Brush markers to color my main issue.  I love the bold and bright colors, while still maintaining the water color look and feel.

I stamped the sentiment on the back panel behind the acetate and added the sequins and tiny stars.

I popped the main image up on foam tape to give a bit of dimension.

Actually a pretty simple card!

Here's a close up of the card, where you can see some of the dimension.

We are looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Sunday - Halloween

Another fun challenge is starting over at CAS on Sunday.  The theme for this challenge is Halloween! How fun is that!

While Halloween isn't really my holiday, I can't seem to resist the Halloween stamps, they are all so cute!

Here is my take on the challenge...

This is a simple one-layer card, where I stamped, masked and colored my images with copic markers.

Pretty quick and simple!

Here is a close up of the image.

Hope you come by and join the challenge, we would love to see what you come up with!

I'm also entering this card at CASology, the theme for the week is...SPOOKY.  I think this cute little guys can also be a bit spooky ;0

Addicted to CAS - Coffee

Another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS.  It's a fun theme for this week, coffee!  At first I thought this would be difficult for me as I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so I don't have many stamps that might fit this theme.  However, after digging through my collection, here's what I came up with!

Hope you can join us!  There is a chance to win a $10 voucher to Stamplorations!

I've been enjoying making a smaller size square card, as it is perfect for a quick note while still able to send in an A4 size envelop.

I stamped and heat embossed my coffee mug and steam on some watercolor paper.  I then used my zig markers to color my mug.

Then a simple stamp and heat embossing of the sentiment, a bit of foam tape and done!

Here is a close up of the card, you can see the dimension I added with foam tape.

Hope you join us, we would love to see what you come up with!
