Less is More - Brown and Blue

Just when my husband an I were get back in the swing of things...he got a little sick and I suffered a bike accident!  Kinda ironic considering my card for this week!  So a few weeks of healing, bummer, but could have been a lot worse!!!

We have another challenge going on over at Less is More.  The theme for this week is Brown and Blue.  I wasn't sure what direction I wanted to go with this one, but ending up picking up a stamp set that I purchased a few months back, but haven't used yet.  Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I started by heat embossing the bicycle as it helps with the coloring of these smaller images, as the ink is easier to keep in the lines.  I colored the image with copic markers.

I then stamped the sentiment at the bottom and added the rows of dots to ground the image.

It still looked a little plain so I added a few blue sequins.

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...

  1. Just perfect Susan although I'm thinking you're not entirely happy about the bicycle image you chose prior to the incident. It's a stunning card though and hope it makes you want to get back on the wheels ASAP. Have a restful and speedy recovery. Hugs Sarah x

  4. I love this crisp design, Susan - even though we both struggled with the colour combo! The dotty border grounds that sweet bicycle image perfectly. I hope you were not too injured by your accident and are back in the saddle soon :)
