Well is has been a week that went from one end of the spectrum to another...fun to heartbreaking. However, I am confident that all will turn out well in the end.
We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More. This week a One Layer Card and our theme is favorite flower. This one is a bit tricky for me as I don't do too many florals and just have a few stamps, so I will try to use an old one in a new way.
Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
I started with an old Hero Arts Stamp. That I inked up a portion of with Versafine ink. This stamp normally has four flowers and I masked off one.
Once stamped, I added clean embossing powder and heat embossed the flowers and the sentiment.
I then used my distress ink to watercolor the images, then added the pearls to the center!
Here's a close up of the card!
Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Sorry to hear about your week, Susan, I hope it all works out ok. Your card is beautifully simple. Great choice of stamp and sentiment xx
ReplyDeleteSo perfectly CAS and really stylish. The sentiment grounds the flowers so well (and looks great - I love the fonts) and the pearls in the centre of the flowers are a fab touch. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteSuper stylised flowers on your card Susan and I think masking off the 4th flower was a brilliant idea as odd numbers always work so well. Beautiful watercolouring. I do hope that your week gets better and returns to being uplifting and fun as soon as possible. xx
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the clean simplicity of this card, Susan - you should use florals more :) The watercolouring adds softness to the crisp lines and that sentiment is fab!
ReplyDeleteLovely Lim card xx Jan
