CAS on Friday - Color Me Pretty

We got one day on the courts between storms.  Better than nothing.  Next week is expected to be much better...but still hoping for dry courts tomorrow to play with the husband!

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this week is to use markers or pencils.  Here's my take on the theme...

I tried something a bit different.  I colored the background and left the main image white.  This dog actually looks like my puppy Baxter.  He is all white with dark eyes and nose!  He is sooooo cute!

The little squares are cut using a die then coloring the background with Copic markers.

I used the inlaid die technique to make this card easy to mail.  I've been liking the flat cards lately.

Less is More - OLC Cute

Finishing off a hectic week.  I'm hoping we will fall into a routine after this coming week.  We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More.  As you can see we have fun code word...Cute...but remember this is a one layer card...my favorite!

I don't know about you, but I think this bunny is just the cutest thing in the world.

I colored him with copics...added a bit of Wink of Stella on the stripes of his shirt and the hearts floating above him.

Stamped the sentiment and done.

Addicted to CAS - Ombre

It has been a bit of a hectic week, and next week is worse, so I'm happy to be able to finish an inspiration card before everything comes to a boiling point.  We have a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  As you can see, our code word is Ombre.  Super fun!

I choose to do something a bit different.  I focused my ombre highlights to the sentiment.  Which I added here with the inlaid die technique, to make this card easy to mail.

I stamped and colored my giraffes.  So sweet!

CAS on Friday - Love

Finally the rain has moved out and we can play a bit of tennis again.  Nice to be on the court with the husband!

I used my Zig markers to color this little guy.  I added some highlights using my colored pencils.  Then added a splash of color with this speech bubble.

Less is More - Purple

Welcome to 2018!  Hope everyone had a terrific New Years Celebration!  Here's to wishing everyone a wonderful year!

We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More.  This is our first challenge of the new year and we have some changes to the challenge for 2018! We are moving to a two week challenge...this gives everyone just a bit more time to develop their beautiful creations!

Our challenge for this week is a color challenge.  And purple is the color on tap.  Here's my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!




I choose to go with a simple inlaid die design for this challenge.  Just a bit of simple stamping with my newest stamp set from My Favorite Things using two different color purples.  I then die cut the sentiment and used copic markers to color it.

Here's a bit of a close up of the design.  You can see that there is no dimension---so makes for easy mailing.

Addicted to CAS - Music

Happy 2018, my friends!  Here's to wishing a happy and healthy new year to all!

We have our first challenge of the New Year starting over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this challenge is Music.  I wanted to do something a little different this time, so here's my take on the challenge.




I used this cute little stamp set and thought I was going to color these birds with a bunch of different colors.  I started with yellow, then moved to green, then pink and decided to stop there and keep it a three color card.

Love this cute little birds...I can image them making lots of music together!

Tag You're It - Goodbye

I hope that everyone had a great New Year's Celebration and I wish everyone a wonderful 2018!

We are starting this New Year off by saying a sweet goodbye to Tag You're It Challenge.  This was a terrific challenge blog headed by our talented and lovely Tracey McNeeley.  She has expertly headed up this challenge for sometime now and has done a great job keeping all of us organized and inspired.  We thank you Tracey!
