Addicted to CAS - Animal

Well another two weeks gone by and still under the shelter in place order!  I'm ready for this to be done, but must do what is needed for the welfare of all!

We do have a new challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Animal.  Perfect timing for me as I just made a card for my friend Barb and she loves dogs.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I simply stamped the image, then colored it with Copics.  A quick little card, but so sweet.

Less is More - No Sentiment

Crazy times...hope everyone is staying calm and healthy...this too shall pass!  In the meantime, since you are likely trying to limit your socializing, join us for a new challenge this week.  Our theme is No Sentiment.  You'd think this is super easy, but I find that without a sentiment sometimes I feel the card is not done...but this helps me push past that.

Addicted to CAS - Texture

Wow...talk about crazy times!!  Everyone is hunkering in place and it is so quiet.  Hoping that everyone is healthy and things return to normal soon!


In the meantime, we have a new challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this challenge is texture.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I made a template for the hearts and used embossing paste for some texture.  Then popped up the sentiment on some craft foam.  Pretty simple!

Less is More - Color Challenge

Expecting a wet and soggy day today...so more time to create indoors!

We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is a Color Challenge:  Red Raspberry and Grey. Such a beautiful combination.

Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a super fun card to make.  I started by stamping circles to the background of this card and using clear embossing powder (hard to see in the photo).

I then colored my little guy and popped him up on some craft foam. 

Super simple and fun!

A bit of a break until the next rain...which is coming in this next week.  Gotta get onto the court while we still can...

This is a quick and easy card.  Just a little inlaid dye for the little circles.  I popped the bunny up using craft foam.

Addicted to CAS - Cake

Another beautiful weekend ahead.  While it is February we are seeing lots of spring temperatures.  Gives me more fun outdoor time, but am missing a little bit of winter still!

Less is More - Tiny and Few

Wow, what a beautiful weekend.  Just in time for some fun super bowl festivities.  And my two favorite teams are battling it out, so one way or the other it is a win for me!

Addicted to CAS - Ombre

Wow...can't believe it is still winter, technically...though with 70 degree weather outside, one would never know.  But this nice weather gives way to some great time on the courts!

We do have a new challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this one is Ombre.  I love the look of this, but always kinda struggle on how best to use this on a card.  I'm in desperate need of birthday cards, so here's my take on the challenge...

This is really a CAS card...it is simple and frankly very quick.  I used the inlaid die method with this card, as I love the look and I enjoy putting together the puzzle.

Less is More - Pick A Triangle

Another beautiful day...I guess I need to use these next few lovely days as the weather is expected to take a sudden turn and bring us much needed rain, hail and snow!  Just in time for Thanksgiving and hopefully bringing a bit of winter weather for Christmas!

Addicted to CAS - Blessings

Can't believe it is almost the end of November...that means Christmas is just around the corner.  It certainly doesn't help that the weather is still a bit more end of summer instead of winter!

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Blessings.  This is the perfect time of the year to think back about all that we are greatful for and I'm happy to say that I have many things on that list!

Here's my take on the challenge...

Okay this little sweet Gingerbread Man is so cute.  It is actually a sticker and as I was peeling it, I broke his leg.  I was going to start over, but then realized that it might be appropriate for him to have a bit of a broken leg...so I went with it.  Though truth be told, I only have one Gingerbread Man!

The Blessing sentiment is added to the card using inlaid die technique and the Christmas sentiment is stamped.

Addicted to CAS - Birthday

Finally fall has arrived....yeah!  I've been enjoying the weather, but can't believe that it is already November.  Gotta crank out those Christmas cards.

In the meantime, we have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme is Birthday...just because we are getting closer to Christmas doesn't mean we don't need more birthday cards. And Addicted to CAS is celebrating our 7th Birthday!

Less is More - Winter Flora

Finally....it is cooling down a bit.  We've had a bit of a heat wave this week...but not too bad as it does cool down overnight.  Though, I'm ready for the fall weather.

Wow...it is almost Halloween!  Can't believe this month is flying by.  Gotta go buy some candy this week.  Hoping that we have lots of little visitors.

Addicted to CAS - Plaid

I hope we had the last heat wave of the year!  I'm ready for the fall season!

Anyhoo...we have another challenge at Addicted to CAS today...our theme is Plaid.  This was a bit of a challenge for me, as I was searching for paper and realized I don't have much (actually any plaid)...then I was thinking about it and realized, I'm not a super big fan of plaid.  However, with that being said...I did find the back on one piece of paper that had plaid...it was only a small amount...so time to be creative.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This card uses the inlaid dye technique...which was a bit challenging since it cut the entire card across.  But in the end it all came together.

You can't tell in this picture, but I used some silver glitter paper as well.

Less is More - Rainbow Color

What a terrific week...fall has finally arrived...okay, not really fall, but slowly getting there!  At least we are not in the middle of a heat wave!
