Welcome Baby

I've been practicing my toss for my tennis serve and my shoulder is getting stronger each day! I'm feeling very comfortable now so looking forward to playing in a few days.

In the meantime, I've had a bit of extra time to make some blankets.  I'm including this card, with one space themed blanket.  Hoping Debbie will like it.

For this card, I used a bunch of stamp sets and a little tiny bit of masking to get this little astronaut to hold these balloons.

Once everything was stamped, I colored the images with my copic markers.  Then stamped my sentiment and done!

In the end, a pretty clean and simple one layer card.

Here's a close up!

Lots of coloring, which I love!

Addicted to CAS - Welcome

Had a great day on the tennis court this morning with the husband.  Terrific workout and I think I have my mojo back...thanks to the husband!

We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS today.  Here's our code word for this challenge.  Hope you choose to play along, as you have the opportunity to win a gift certificate from one of my favorite stores...Create a Smile.  If you haven't checked them out, go on and do so, they have the cutest stamp set.  I just ordered a few, and I'm sure I'll receive them soon :)

I typically go to my little house stamps for this theme, but I find myself in need of baby cards lately so I thought I would go that route.  I'm also going to start looking for new ways to combine stamps, so here is my first attempt.

I started by stamping my little critter.  I then masked him off and stamped the balloons from my other stamp set, and had to mask off the elephant since it is attached to the balloons!

Once stamped I colored my card with copic markers.  Added the sentiment on the side and done.

I'm happy with my fun and pretty quick card.  I love coloring so this gave me lots of opportunity!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Pastel

Busy weekend...tennis match today, then tomorrow a fun Mother's Day celebration with the family!

Time for another challenge over at Less is More!  This week's challenge is Pastel!  Most of my cards have bright colors, so this was a bit of a challenge.  I thought I would focus on a baby card, since I do need a few and it is perfect for pastel colors!

Come on over and show us what you come us with.  You have a chance to win a gift certificate from Happy Little Stampers!

Also it is our fellow design team member's birthday today....so stop on by and wish Anita a very happy birthday!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANITA!!!

Here's my take on the challenge...

I stamped this image with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  I then used my Zig Real Brush Markers to watercolor the image.  Super fun!

I found the key to working with these brushes is the paper!  I used Strathmore Watercolor paper.  The makers seems to blend with water perfectly using this paper!
