Less is More - Balloons

Another soggy week here...so little outdoor activities gives me more time in the studio.

We have another fun challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is Balloons!  I was going to go a whole different direction on this one, but I've been on a bit of a ink sponging kick.

Here's my card for this week, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I started my cutting out each balloon when inking them up with distress inks.  I played around with the placement for a while, then decided I wanted an inlaid die look to make it easy to mail.

I then cut the sentiment and added it to the top.  I glued down the "birthday" part of the sentiment inside the card.

  1. Super sponging technique Susan and I adore how the edges of the balloons are darker because they look so realistic. The inlaid die technique was a brilliant touch! Hope your week gets less soggy so you get time to do some exercise outside. xx

  8. This is a beautiful and happy card Susan ! Love the mix of all these colours ! And what a great idea to only show one part of the sentiment and to keep the other part for inside ! Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.
