Less is More - Leaves

What a beautiful day we have here today.  Spring time weather!  Yeah!

We also have another challenge starting over at Less is More!  The theme for this week is Leaves and it is a one-layer challenge.

Here's my take on the theme...

I started by stamping and heat embossing the leaves.  I then used distress inks to watercolor my image.

I added the sentiment at the end and done!  Pretty easy...and quick!

Here is a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

  1. The distress watercolouring gives a lovely soft look which goes well with the sentiment, Susan! The sketchy look of that leaf stamp is great too x

  2. What a gorgeous leaf stamp! I love the doodled effect, and it's very stylish climbing its way up the side of the card. A lovely rich colour palette too! Hope you have a fab weekend x

  4. Beautiful water colouring Susan with the way you graduated the ink colours; it gives the feeling of new and old growth together. That's a great thing to do on a sympathy card. Such a gorgeous stamp too. xx

    1. This is an older dylusions stamp set. It is a rubber stamp, but fairly recently I saw they now make them in clear stamps, so the price maybe a bit better :)
