Less is More - Stencils

Wow...waiting for the cool breeze to kick in...super hot out today.  But it is supposed to begin cooling soon.  I was able to get some tennis in today, but had a wake up early to do it!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  Our theme for this week is Stencils.  Haven't used those in some time, so nice to pull them out.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I stamped the image first, then masked it.  Pulled out the circle stencil and some Distress Inks.

Super simple and quick card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks for stopping by!

Addicted to CAS - Favorite Stamp

Another beautiful week gone by...this is my favorite time of the year.  A bit cooler, but not cold and still dry!

We have another fun challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Your Favorite Stamp!  Wow, this is a tricky one, because I have so many favorites!  I did narrow it down to this one...a favorite this week :)

This is a quick and simple card.  I stamped my image and colored it with copic markers.  I used a few colored pencils to highlight some of the small spaces.  I find this sometimes a bit easier than using the copic markers for those areas of tight fit!

I then cut a small strip of colored paper and added my sentiment.

Here's a close up of the card. Isn't she sassy?  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

We have another challenge over at Less is More and our theme for this challenge is a One Layer Card and Coloring.  You can use markers, colored pencils or any coloring medium.  Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

I found this cute little stamp and just love it.  This is the perfect birthday card for one of my friends!  I used copic markers to color this sweet beauty.

After stamping the sentiment, I added a few little stars for some shimmer!

Addicted to CAS - Apples

For all of my US friends...welcome to the long weekend. Hope everyone has some fun plans!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this challenge is Apples!  What a terrific theme as the school year begins!  Not having any young ones at home anymore...here's my take on the theme.

I started by stamping my little mouse and the basket of apples.  I then colored them with Copic Markers.  I decided to add a tone on tone sentiment on some green paper.  I used the inlaid die technique to put the pieces together.  Then a final touch added the sentiment!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see it is flat for easy mailing...love that inlaid die technique!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Royal Blue & Lime Green

Getting ready for the Labor Day weekend...boy did the summer just fly by!  Well the good news, is that the summer weather will likely linger for another few weeks!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More! Our theme for this challenge is Royal Blue & Lime Green. I really love these colors together.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a quick card...I simply stamped my snow peeps and colored them with Copic Markers.  I then add some foam tape for dimension and added them to my card base.  I used a few of my rectangles to create this inlaid die technique to add the frame.  Stamped the sentiment and done!

Here's a close up of the card. You can see the dimension of the snow peeps against the flat card base!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Real Objects

Getting ready to head off to a tennis tournament!  Looking forward to a day of lots of tennis! Hope it doesn't get too hot!

We have another challenge starting today over at Less is More!  Our theme for this challenge is Real Objects!  Just add an object to your card...but remember to still keep it CAS!

Here's my take on the challenge...

I love this little bunny!  After stamping him out and coloring him with copics, I added a bit of foam tape.

I sponged a bit of distress ink on this card base and added a bit of water to give it some slight texture.  I added the sentiment and gave it a bit of dimension with foam tape.

My real object is the stars I added around the bunny!

Here's a close up of my card!

We have another challenge starting at CAS on Friday!  Our theme for this challenge is one of my favorites...a One Layer Challenge.  I really do like these cards, so challenging.  Here's my take on the challenge.

I used this Stamping Bella image and colored it with Copics.  I added the sentiment and done!

Less is More - Tropical Fruit

We are on the tail end of a heat wave and I have to say I'm happy to have it come to an end.  Being outside is so fun, but not when it is too hot!  Anywho...lots of great tennis this week and some time in the studio.

Don't forget to check out my latest Giveaway...here!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is Tropical Fruit Colors.  I have no fruit stamps which would have been fun to use for this challenge! However, I do have lots of drink stamps---not sure what that says about me...but decided to focus on tropical fruit drinks.  Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a one layer card.  A simple card with a bit of simple masking. Coloring with Copics and done!

Here's a bit of a close up!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Sketch

We made it through a heat wave!  Boy was it hot...but it is getting back to normal starting today! Yeah...we are celebrating with some more tennis with the husband...my favorite opponent :)

We also have a new challenge starting over at Less is More today!  Our challenge for this week is a Sketch challenge.  Here's the sketch...and my take on it!

I started by cutting my waves from colored card stock.  I then stamped and colored my main image with Copics.  I die cut the sentiment and added it to the card.  I then added a bit of Wink of Stella to the balloon popped the main image on some foam tape and done.  Pretty quick and easy!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see the dimension of the little bear.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Neopolitan Ice Cream Colors

Wow, can't believe it is June already!  It's been a fun week, with lots going on, but always a few minutes to make some cards!

We have another challenge over at Less is More.  The theme is just perfect for summer...Neapolitan Ice Cream Colors.  Doesn't get better than chocolate, strawberry and vanilla!  Here's my take on the challenge...

I simply stamped these cute little coconut drinks and colored them with copics.  I popped up with panel on foam tape and added it to kraft card stock.

I then sponged the sentiment with distress ink and added it via inlaid die to the card.  Was looking for an "Aloha" die but don't have one in my stash.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see the dimension created by the foam tape.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Let's Party

It has been very wet and rainy here for the past week.  This gave me a bit of extra time to work in the studio, since I was unable to play tennis!  But made it out to the court today...such much fun!  I'm counting down the days until my husband can join me again!

I have been wanting to practice coloring and I have been enjoying doing one layer cards with masking, here's the card I most recently completed.

I simply stamped the images, used a bit of masking on the cow.  I then used my copic markers to color them.

I added the banner with the sentiment to add a bit of color and done!

Here's a close up of the card.  Super fun to color these cute little guys!
