Less is More - Spring Walk

Spring has certainly sprung here...the flowers are out in full force and there have been days of rain in between. This is my favorite time of year so all is good!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More. The theme for this challenge is Spring Walk.  How fun is that!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...here's my take on the challenge...

I started by stamping this cute little guy on some card stock and coloring him with copic markers.

I then added the clouds and used the inlaid die technique after sponging them with distress ink. Then stamped the sentiment.

Here's a close up of my card.  You can see I used the inlaid die technique for the clouds.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Curve

Well it looks like spring has come and gone...it is stormy and cold outside.  Hopefully, for just a few days and then we can go back to spring!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  This week our challenge is a One-Layer card and our theme is Curve.  Initially, I was thinking of something a bit more traditional with a curve line and some florals, but then decided to go with something a little more fun.  Here's my take on the challenge...

Isn't she sassy!  I just love Edna and her curves!

Simple card, just stamped and colored with Copics.  Added a few stars to give it a bit of sparkle...also added a bit of Wink of Stella to the wings for some extra sparkle, but difficult to see in the photo!

Here's a close up of the card!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Sunday - Leaves or Trees

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. It is just beautiful weather here today, so I'm off to a tennis match later today...wish me luck!

We have a new challenge starting over at CAS on Sunday.  Our theme for this challenge is Leaves or Trees.  This gave me an opportunity to use a new stamp set that I have recently received.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

This is quick and simple card.  I started by stamping my image on cardstock and coloring it with copics.  I then cut out the image added a bit of colored card stock behind it and popped it up on foam tape.

The sentiment is heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

All in all, very quick and simple!

Here's a close up of the image, you can see the dimension of the foam tape.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Smile

Such a beautiful intro to spring here.  Hope you are all experiencing sunshine as well.

I'm hosting our challenge over at Addicted to CAS, and for this challenge, I selected Smile as our theme.  We are always use some extra smiles in our life, so I thought this would be perfect!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by stamping my smiling monsters, using the masking technique.  I then colored them with Copic Markers and added my sentiment.  This is my friend Maria's favorite saying, so I think I will send this off to her!

I did pop up the main card base on foam tape and added a bit of black and white to ground the card.

Here's a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Use 3 Pastels

Hope everyone is doing okay!  We are experiencing some beautiful spring weather and we are able to spend more time outdoors which is a great bonus for us.  Doing a bit of tennis this week and also a bit of walking with the husband...always a bonus!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this week is to use 3 pastels. Pastel's are a tricky one for me as I'm typically drawn to more bright and vibrant colors. But always good to go out of your comfort zone to see what you can come up with.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by stamping my flowers and die cutting them.  I then cut my main card panel and cut the rectangles in them. At that point it was all just a bit of stamping and popping up the flowers on foam tape.

As a finishing touch, I added a little pearl to each flower.

Here's a close up of the card.  All in all pretty simple.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
