Addicted to CAS - Birds

We have a fun weekend planned, with some sunshine, tennis and general outdoor activities...gotta enjoy the break in the rain!

Another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this challenge is Birds.  I tried several different designs here before I was happy with this.

Here's my take on the challenge...

I thought it would be fun to have my birds on a wire.  The card looked a bit empty, so I added a few houses underneath but focused my color just on the birds.  I added my trademark little bubble on top of the card with the sentiment and done!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Friends

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Super fun topic...Friends!  This is the perfect topic for me as I try to send cards to my friends each month!  Always fun to get happy mail!

Here's my take on the challenge...

Super quick card since there is not much coloring.  Just a bit of shading and a few colors...but nothing better then snowmen selfie!

I stamped the sentiment on the bottom and on the inside it says "Warm the Heart".  I then added a bit of tone on tone snowflakes to some bright pink paper.

I then promptly sent this to my friend Barb!  Pink is her fav color and she is enjoying the snow at the moment!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Tweet

Another week just flown by...and we have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this week is Tweet.  How fun is that!  My mind is on Christmas Cards, you know it is coming up quickly!  Here is my take on the challenge...

This is a super quick card...so I plan on making many of these for the holidays.

I colored these cute little birds with copics and popped them up on foam tape.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Apples

Another beautiful week gone by...where has the summer gone...it's already September.

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this week is Apples.  A tricky challenge for me as I searched through all of my stamps and found only two apple stamps.  I've used one for this card...can you find it!!

Another sweet Stamping Bella stamp.  Just love these!

I simply colored this with my Copics and done.  Really a very quick and easy card.  My sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Black, White & One Color

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  This challenge is black, white and one color.  This is a bit of a challenge for me, since I like to use at least 3 colors on each of my projects...and this only allows for one...since black and white are normally there :)

Here's my take on the challenge...

I stamped my main image and colored it with copics.  I then used the die to give the card some interest.  I colored the various dots with copics, then used the inlaid die technique to put them back in the holes.

A pretty quick and simple card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Masculine

Welcome to August...the year is already half over...wow...gotta start thinking about Christmas cards...but until then, we have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS!  Our theme for this week is to create a Masculine card.  A bit tricky for me!  Here's my take on the challenge...

I stamped this fun little guy, then masked him off and added the balloons falling around him.

I wanted to add a little bit of interest to his cloths, so I added some dots to his shirt.  My husband picked the colors and I colored him with Copics.

I added the sentiment in the cloud bubble with white embossing powder.  Lots of fun coloring!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addcited to CAS - Summertime

We have another challenge starting today at Addicted to CAS.  Just the perfect theme for this time of year...Summertime.  We were hoping to get to the beach this week, but it has been a bit too hectic.  Maybe next week.  In the meantime...checkout my take on the challenge.

This is a super easy one layer card.  I started by stamping my flip flops.  I then cut a small stencil from masking tape, trying not to be too perfect.  I used distress ink to create a little background for each set of flip flops.  A quick little copic coloring and finished.

I added the little sentiment and done!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Addicted to CAS - Sea

This has been a strange weather week...kinda like winter...cloudy and a bit cool.  Oh well, it makes nice tennis weather.  Next week, we will be seeing some summer weather.

We have a new challenge at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this week is Sea!  I did something a bit different, but hey, isn't that what being creative is all about.  Here's my take on the challenge...

Super quick and easy.  I used some patterned paper that looks like sand and simply stamped some flip flops.  I added a bit of color and my sentiment strip.  I think this took 5 minutes :)

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Bubble

It's been a busy week with the puppy...but he should be doing much better in a few days.  At least I was able to get to the courts a few days this week!

I have a giveaway going on so check it out here to see if you are interested!

We have a new challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this week is Bubbles.  I decided to do something a bit different and focus on Speech Bubbles.  Here's my take on the challenge...

I stamped the cute little mouse on this smaller card stock.  After coloring him with Copic Markers, I added this fun little speech bubble.

I matted the smaller rectangle with this red to give it a bit more interest.

A quick and simple card!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Mother's Day

A soggy day today, but still can hit the gym and do a bit of inside work...those taxes still need to get done!

I have a giveaway going on so check it out here to see if you are interested!

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is Mother's Day.  Here's my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

This was a super quick and easy card.  I simply stamped my flower, added the "m" to both sides and added a little color with my copics...then I stamped the sentiment.

Oops...almost forgot, I added the little dot to the flower...gives it a finishing touch.

Thanks for stopping by!

Less is More - Dry Embossing

We have a new challenge starting over at Less is More today.  Our theme for today is dry embossing.  The challenge is to do this in a bit more of a CAS manner...this can be tricky, but I know you can do it!  Though, don't do what I did...I actually made my card CAS, but used embossing paste...which is wet, even through it does dry :)  So just look at my design and image the hearts in the background as a embossed folder!!

I started my making a template with my heart die on some card stock.  I then simply used some embossing paste that dry's quickly.  I then added a bit of Distress Ink to some card stock and cut my sentiment.  I added a bit of dimension using some foam tape.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Birds or Feathers

Another beautiful week...though it has been a bit cool in the mornings.  Our tree is up and we are slowing getting some gifts to make it festive.

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this week is Birds or Feathers.  I had lots of ideas for this one, but in the end, I ran out of time and decided to go with this simple card.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Super quick and easy card.  I cut some card stock with this fun die from Lawn Fawn.  Then stamped my image and sentiment.  I added a bit of snowflakes to the simple grey background and done.

Here's a close up of the image.  I colored it with copic markers.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Dies

Can't believe it is already half way through September.  I gotta start working on some Christmas cards...but first, we have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this challenge is to use a Die on your card.  Lots of opportunity with this theme.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This was a take on a card that I made awhile back...that one was for Valentine's Day and this is for a friend who has been a bit under the weather.

My friend loves pink and glitter so I added a bit of sparkle to this card. The sentiment and images are from Lawn Fawn.  I used copic markers to add the color and Wink of Stella for the sparkle!

Here's a close up of the image.  As you can see I added some dimension by adding a bit of foam tape to the die cut image.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Vehicles

Another fun week of tennis and outdoor activities.  Just love this summer weather!

Remember, I have a giveaway happening now---check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is a One Layer Card and Vehicles.  I was thinking of going with cars, but then decided on a camping theme. Here's my take on the challenge...

I started by stamping and masking my images.  I then used distressed ink to add the background, then used my copics to color the main images.  In the end, pretty quick and simple.

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see it has no dimension, so it will be easy to mail.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Exotic

It has been a beautiful week.  Not too hot, but I hear the heat wave is coming in.  I'm hoping the husband will be feeling a bit better in a little while so we can go play some tennis!  I have missed his hard hitting :)

I have a Giveaway going on.  If you are interested, check it out here!

We have another challenge starting today at CAS on Friday.  Our theme for this week is Exotic!  I wanted to do something a little different, so I looked up this word and found that is means foreign, and colorful.  And came up with this card...

I stamped and masked a few of these monsters and colored them with Copics.  I love color, so this was a super fun card to make.  The images are easy to color, so it didn't take much time at all.

Here's a close up of the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Summer

Well it is a perfect summer day, which is just in line with the newest challenge from Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this challenge is summer!  Lots of fun opportunities with this theme.  Here's what I came up with for the challenge...

This is a super fun card to make...I started by sponging the background. I then stamped the images and colored them with copic markers.  I used the inlaid die technique for the penguin and the sentiment.  Lastly, I adhered the tree to the polaroid.  I used foam tape to give the polariod a bit of dimension, but first added a bit of interest to the yellow card stock by stamping a few suns!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Friday - Flowers

What another beautiful summer week!  Just love this time of the year...lots of outdoor activities! Remember, I have a giveaway going on...check it out here!

We have another challenge starting over at CAS on Friday!  Our theme for this challenge is Flowers.  I'm using my favorite flower stamp set.  Here's what I came up with...

Super simple card.  I started by die cutting the inner rectangle.  Added my flowers and the sentiment.

Then used the inlaid die technique to put everything together.

Super simple!

Here's a close up of the card.  You can see that that it is flat, but the stitching around the main image adds interest to the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
