Less is More - Books

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More today.  This weeks challenge is Books!  Such a fun challenge.  I love to read, so this is just perfect.  I made a few cards and had my son and husband pick the one that I should use.  They both decided on this one.

This is an easy one layer card.  I started by stamping and masking my books.  Colored them in with Copics.  I then added the sentiment and the heart.  I die cut part of the card to provide some interest.
For the bottom part.  I sponged on a light yellow distressed ink, then used an fun alphabet stencil and used a darker distressed ink.
The bottom strip adds a little color to a CAS card!

Here's a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!  Hope you can join us for this challenge!

  1. Brilliant card Susan! The first thing that caught my eye was the gorgeous bright strip at the base with the stencilled letters. I just love it - so cheerful! Adding a row of die cut dots perfectly divides it from the design 'up top' and is a great touch. Your Copic coloured books are so cute, and I love the fun sentiment. Have a great weekend! x
