Less is More - Gold and Purple

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our challenge for this week is a color challenge and our colors are "Purple and Gold".  Seems like a strange combo...since it was my high school colors it seems a bit old school, but once I started playing around with these colors I had fun!

Here's what I came up for this week...

This is a simple CAS card.  I started my cutting out the little rectangle from the top panel of my card.

I simply heat embossed the sentiment.  Then die cut my present from some purple patterned paper, and some gold foil paper.

I added foam tape to the top panel and done!  Super simple!

What I like most about this design is that you can easily make this into a Christmas card as well!

Here's a close up of the dimension of the card.

Hope you come and join us, we would love to see what you come up with!

  11. They were MY school colors, too, Susan! I could only think of those garish purple graduation gowns! But I love how you've made it modern and relevant with your framed and fun gift! I hope you are doing well! Hugs, Darnell
