Less is More - Sketch

Such a beautiful week gone by and time for another challenge at Less is More.  Our theme for this week is a Sketch Challenge.  I love these challenges as it always pushes me to do something I would normally not.  Here's the sketch and below my take on the challenge...

Super quick and easy card.  I used this sweet little cake stamp from Reverse Confetti and quickly colored it with Copics.  I added some color to the main image by matting each square.  I then added a bit of dimension with foam tape and done!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by!

Addicted to CAS - Birds

I'm trying to dry out from a soggy week, but still feeling a bit damp!  Good news is that I have a lot of work to focus on so, it is keeping me from getting stir crazy!

We have a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  Our theme for this week is Birds.  I created this fun little card and have my bird as the most important part of the card as he is holding the cake :)

I stamped my images on this 4 x 4 panel.  I colored them with copics.

I then stamped my sentiment on this color panel and done.  Very quick and easy.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Ombre

It has been a bit of a hectic week, and next week is worse, so I'm happy to be able to finish an inspiration card before everything comes to a boiling point.  We have a new challenge over at Addicted to CAS.  As you can see, our code word is Ombre.  Super fun!

Here's my take on the challenge.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with...

I choose to do something a bit different.  I focused my ombre highlights to the sentiment.  Which I added here with the inlaid die technique, to make this card easy to mail.

I stamped and colored my giraffes.  So sweet!

Here's a bit of a close up of the card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

CAS on Sunday - Color Challenge

Well another rainy day here...hoping for a little more dry weather!  I'm been trying to play some tennis in between the rain, but it doesn't really work out so well so I have to take some time in the gym!

We have another challenge starting over at CAS on Sunday!  This week is a color challenge (see the colors below).  I love these challenges as it gives me a new combination of colors to play with.  You don't have to use the exact colors identified here, just use something close.

It has been a bit of a busy week, so I opted for something very quick and easy.  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Here's my take on the challenge...

This is a super quick card.  I simply stamped my images and added a sentiment.

This one of my favorite floral images and love this card as I can make it quickly for any occasion!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Less is More - Gold and Purple

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our challenge for this week is a color challenge and our colors are "Purple and Gold".  Seems like a strange combo...since it was my high school colors it seems a bit old school, but once I started playing around with these colors I had fun!

Here's what I came up for this week...

This is a simple CAS card.  I started my cutting out the little rectangle from the top panel of my card.

I simply heat embossed the sentiment.  Then die cut my present from some purple patterned paper, and some gold foil paper.

I added foam tape to the top panel and done!  Super simple!

What I like most about this design is that you can easily make this into a Christmas card as well!

Here's a close up of the dimension of the card.

Hope you come and join us, we would love to see what you come up with!

CAS on Sunday - Tic Tac Toe

What a terrific weekend...it is beautiful spring like weather.  I'm spending time just enjoying the day and hanging with the husband!

We have another challenge over at CAS on Sunday starting today, so if you have some time come on over and join in.  We would love to see what you come up with!

Here is my take on the challenge...

This is a simple card.  I started by cutting my white panel and heat embossing the confetti background.

I then cut a hat with patterned paper and die cut a shiny little tassel on top with foil paper!

I heat embossed my sentiment with silver embossing powder.

As a final touch, I popped up the hat on foam tape.

Since the theme was Tic Tac Toe, I choose to use the Patterned Paper, Stamp, and Something Shiny!

Hope you come and join us, we would love to see what you come up with!
