Less is More - Shadow

I'm just loving this time of the year...lots of rain this winter so our draught is over and the backyard garden is just amazing.  The husband has been slowly making his way back to the tennis court and I'm soooooo happy!

We have another challenge starting over at Less is More. Our theme for this week is Shadow.  I struggled over this one...it was hard for me to come up with something a bit different. I finally took some inspiration from my garden and here is what I came up with.

I didn't want to use a bright white cardstock, so I picked a Caramel colored cardstock from Bazzill.

I used distress ink to make my background.  Then simple die cut the opening in my card base and then added the die cut flowers.  Stamped the sentiment and done!  I think this will be my Mother's Day card!

Here's a closer look at the card. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

  1. Gorgeous colours, both in the card stock and that fabulous inked background! I love how the flowers cast a neat, fine shadow which looks so elegant. A really beautiful design! Glad to hear your husband's making it back to the tennis court too - have fun and enjoy the weekend! x
