Less is More - Monochrome

Another challenge starting over at Less is More.  Our theme for this challenge is Monochrome.  So many ways to go with this one...at first I did a one color card in just blue, but noticed that I had stamped the image black so technically it was now black, blue and white.  So I decided to just keep it simple and go with shades of grey.  Here's my take on the challenge.

Super quick card.  I stamped my images and used my cool grey copic markers and colored in the images.  I decided to keep it super clean and simple and didn't even add shading since grey flowers are not the norm...but seems fitting for a sympathy card.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Harvest

I was out on the court three times this week.  Yeah!  Only in the gym twice.  I'm getting stronger every day, and just in time for the season to start...two week the first matches begin!  Yeah!  Now I just need to get the hubby, to get out on the court with me...soon I hope!

We have a new challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS!  The theme for this challenge is Harvest. So many fun options here....I was thinking of two different directions and in the end only had time for one.  Here's my take on the challenge, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

You even have a chance to win a gift certificate to A Day for Daisies!

This is a super simple card.  I stamped this cute little scene from Penny Black.  My son gave this stamp to me as a stocking stuffer last Christmas :)

I colored the image with copic markers.  Then cut the red card stock and heat embossed the sentiment on the top.  Mounted the speech bubble on foam tape and that was it!

Here's a close up of the card, you can see the dimension of the speech bubble.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with, you even have a chance to win a gift card to A Day for Daisies....doesn't get much better than that!

Addicted to CAS - Sihouette

Another nice day on the horizon, and I'm feeling better every day.  I'm going to try and talk my hubby to come out on the court with me next week...wish me luck!

We have another fun challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS! We have a terrific sponsor for this challenge...Stamplorations! You'll want to come on over and see if you can win a gift certificate for this terrific shop!

Here's my take on the theme...looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

This is a quick card.  I started off by die cutting the background scene in a dark grey color.  I then added a bit of distress ink around the edges.

I used distress ink to create my background clouds.  Then stamped the sentiment.

I added a few silver (I know some look red) stars around the sentiment as it looked a little empty without it!

Here's a close up view---and the stars look silver here :)

Come on and join us, we would love to see what you come up with!

Less is More - French

Ouch...a bit of a painful week, but the fractured shoulder and more importantly (since it a lot more painful) the road rash on the elbow is finally getting better.  As of yesterday, I'm trying to use my arm a slowly to make sure it doesn't freeze up!

We have a new challenge over at Less is More!  This week is my favorite...one-layer card, and the theme is French!  How fun is that...especially I just came back from France!

Here is what I came up with...looking forward to see what you come up with!

I have been dying to use this new stamp set.  It is so cute!

I started by stamping my little chef, then stamping the sentiment.

I colored my little chef with Copic markers, then masked him and used my distress ink to ink up the background.

Here's a close up of the card.

Come on over and join us, we would love to see what you come up with!

Addicted to CAS - Music

It has been a tough week.  My husband has been under the weather and now he has to take care of me.  Had a bicycle accident and messed up my shoulder, bummer...but I guess I'm happy it is not worse!  Thanks husband for taking care of me, even when you are sick.

Since my typing is a limited, I will keep this short.  We have another challenge starting over at Addicted to CAS! Come on over and join us!

I started by stamping my main image and coloring it with copics.

I stamped my sentiments and masked off a large circle and added my splatter stamp.

I popped up my main image on foam tap and done!

Here is a close up...love this cute little guy!  Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
